International & multilingual
International installation and project teams work on one shared job in the Aufmaß App, while every team member operates the interface in their own language – 22 languages are available. Survey technicians, installers and the office see the same status, no matter which country they are standing in. The data is stored exclusively on servers in the EU, and installers are included without limit and at no extra cost.
All prices in euros net, the same for every location. The full range of features is on the homepage of the Aufmaß App.
Anyone looking for a multilingual measurement app usually has a concrete problem: the crew speaks Polish, the subcontractor Romanian, the office German – and in the end a measurement should come out that everyone understands the same way. That is why the app interface of the Aufmaß App is available in 22 languages: DE, EN, FR, PL, DA, NL, IT, SR, SL, BG, CS, EL, ET, FI, HR, HU, LT, LV, NO, RO, SK, SV.
What matters is where the language is chosen: every team member sets their own language, but work continues on the same data set. So there is not a Polish and a German version of the job, but one job that everyone operates in their own language. That avoids translation errors and misunderstandings on the job site.
On top of that comes the role model of survey technician (measuring at the customer's site), installer (installation planning, documentation and handover) and office admin (maintaining data in the company). Each role sees exactly what it needs, with status, media and open items in real time. How the rights are distributed in detail is described on the page Roles and rights in measurement (German).
In project business it is not the single measurement that decides, but the volume: the Aufmaß App captures several hundred positions per job – in guided workflows with required fields, logic rules and plausibility checks. Especially when changing teams from different countries do the measuring, that decides how comparable the results are.
The dimensions arrive via Bluetooth from the laser measuring device, together with photos with markings, sketches, voice notes and a signature; the AI transcribes voice notes and summarises them. Everything hangs on the job, not on a piece of paper.
The positions then go back into the ERP in structured form, including photos and dimensions – through the integrations with Klaes, FenOffice NG, Cobus Adulo, MFR and Odoo, without retyping and at no extra cost. Businesses without an ERP hand over PDF, Excel or CSV. Across the whole chain, up to 50 % less effort from the first measurement to the finished quote is possible.
Measurement, installation planning, documentation and handover hang on the same job – without a second list.
As an installation app in Europe, the Aufmaß App is in use in businesses in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland and Slovenia. The typical case is not one installer and one job site, but several installation crews on distributed job sites and one office that has to hold both together.
That is exactly what the role model is built for: job site and office work on the same job at the same time. After the measurement come four steps – installation planning and documentation, installation handover, reporting of open work and confirmation of completion. The smart dashboard shows status, media and open items in real time, even with distributed teams.
Dates, responsibilities and open items hang on the same job. Every crew sees its part – in one of 22 languages.
The Aufmaß App runs as a Progressive Web App in the browser – without installation, fast even with a weak connection.
Installers are unlimited, never count towards the allowance of 20 for survey technicians and office admins and cost nothing extra – no matter how many crews are out on the road.
A job runs through six steps from the first customer appointment to the invoice. The Aufmaß App takes over the steps on the job site and in installation, the ERP the commercial part. For distributed teams what counts is that at every step it is clear where the data is.
The office creates the job or takes over address and order data from the ERP – automatically and tag-filtered with MFR and Odoo.
The survey technician measures in guided form, with values arriving via Bluetooth from the laser – in their own language, including photos and signature.
The positions go back into the ERP including photos, and the quote and order are created there. Without an ERP you hand over PDF, Excel or CSV.
Dates, responsibilities and open items are prepared on the same job – every crew sees its part in its own language.
The installers capture photos, evidence and specifics on site. The office sees the same status as the team – without a call back.
Installation handover with signature, reporting of open work, confirmation of completion. The accepted positions are the basis for the invoice.
What a team working across several countries concretely gets out of the Aufmaß App:
Further questions and answers are in the FAQ section.
As soon as teams from several countries work on the same customer data, the storage location becomes the first question. The answer is unambiguous: all data is hosted exclusively on servers in Germany (EU); there is no hosting outside the European Union. The Aufmaß App is GDPR-compliant.
For business customers we provide a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR on request – the basis for it is set out in the DPA. Onboarding, support and process alignment are carried out fully remotely where needed; we support international teams by remote appointment. By phone we are available Mon-Fri from 08:00 to 17:00 (CET/CEST).
The costs are the same for all locations: the first 25 measurements free, then €0.99 per measurement or €50 per month as a flat rate, that is €600 per year, all prices in euros net – fully broken down on the page Aufmaß App costs (German).
For many businesses the first step across the border is Switzerland. A window manufacturing company that uses the Aufmaß App there in daily work gave us feedback with a figure – and it concerns the point where distributed teams lose the most time: the stretch between measurement and quote.
What helps here is doing away with the second round of data entry in the office: what was measured at the customer's site is already the basis for the quote.
